Isaiah 14:27-29

New International Version

²⁷ For the Lord Almighty has purposed,^(A) and who can thwart him?
    His hand^(B) is stretched out, and who can turn it back?^(C)

²⁹ Do not rejoice, all you Philistines,^(G)
    that the rod that struck you is broken;
from the root of that snake will spring up a viper,^(H)
    its fruit will be a darting, venomous serpent.^(I)
